Built for Harsh Environments. Ready for Field Use.

In energy work, failure isn’t an option. Whether it’s extreme temperatures, corrosive environments, or high-stress loads — your parts need to perform. That’s where LCNW comes in. We’re a partner who understands how energy systems get built, installed, and maintained — from oil and gas infrastructure to wind farms and nuclear facilities.. We work side-by-side with engineers, project leads, and procurement teams to keep timelines tight and standards high.

Our in-house capabilities include:

  • Material sourcing from vetted U.S. mills and distributors
  • Metal components for enclosures, skids, and panels
  • High-precision CNC milling for mating parts and critical hardware
  • AWS compliant structural and enclosure welding
  • Protective coatings for outdoor or corrosive use
  • Kitting, labeling, and packaging for smooth site installation

American Fabrication for Energy Systems

Everything we build is made in the U.S., with proven processes for quality and repeatability. Whether you’re sourcing replacement parts or gearing up for a large-scale rollout, we’re equipped to handle the load—without compromising on lead time or durability.

  • Low-volume runs for pilot builds or retrofit programs
  • Full production for energy infrastructure components
  • Rapid prototyping for new product development
  • DFM (Design for Manufacturability) guidance to reduce cost and complexity

Industries we serve

Same shop, other industries

Since 1992, LCNW has run more than 129,000 jobs for over 1,000 customers, from espresso machines to ship interiors. The same 100,000 sq ft shop in Auburn, WA, the same automated lasers and robotic weld cells, and the same ISO 9001 quality system carry a one-off prototype and a national production rollout alike. Whatever your industry, you get a partner that has already solved problems like yours for someone else.

FAQs

Are your parts made in the USA?
Yes. Everything we fabricate is done right here in the U.S., with the ability to source materials that meet domestic requirements such as Buy American or DFARS when specified by contract. Mill Test Reports (MTRs) can be provided upon request to support material traceability.
Can I talk to someone before I send in a drawing?
Absolutely. Our team regularly collaborates with engineers, project managers, and procurement leads. If you want to talk through specs, material options, or structural tolerances, just give us a call. Early conversations often save time and cost.
What should I include in a shop drawing for energy projects?
The more detail you provide upfront, the smoother the process — and the better the outcome. To ensure accuracy and avoid delays, your shop drawing should include:
– Part name or drawing number
– Revision level
– Material type
– Dimensions and tolerances
– Hole placements and bend details
– Secondary processes (e.g., tapping, machining, countersinking)
– Weld symbols and locations
– Hardware callouts
– Bill of Materials (BOM) for assemblies
– Finish requirements (e.g., powder coating, plating)
– Notes or flags for any critical features or inspection points
Do you support large or repeat production runs for energy components?
Yes. Whether you’re producing 100 mounting brackets or 10,000 structural supports, we can scale to meet your needs. We support both short runs for prototyping and full production volumes with consistent output and quality controls.
Do you work with renewable energy firms?
Yes. We’ve fabricated parts for solar infrastructure, wind turbine brackets, battery enclosures, and power electronics housings. Our experience includes aluminum, stainless, and galvanized steel components that meet industry specs and finish requirements.
Can fabricated parts be powder coated or plated for corrosion resistance?
Definitely. We regularly deliver parts with powder coating, zinc plating, galvanizing, and other finishes. If your application requires a specific finish standard—like for offshore use or battery enclosures—just note it in your RFQ or drawing and we’ll include it in the workflow.
What kind of volume qualifies as a production run?
There’s no strict number, but in general, anything above 50–100 parts per order is considered a small production run. Larger quantities—hundreds to thousands—are what most shops call “full production.” At LCNW, we support both low- and high-volume production, and we can scale up as your product grows, without needing to change suppliers.
Do you offer prototyping for energy system components?
We do, and we offer low-volume runs for pilot builds or retrofit programs. Whether you’re building a new power skid or refining a solar frame design, we can provide fast, accurate prototypes using 3D prining / rapid-prototyping as well as fully-formed weldments on the same equipment we use for production. This helps ensure a seamless transition when you’re ready to scale.
What certifications matter in energy fabrication (ISO, AWS, etc.)?
ISO 9001 is a key certification that signals consistent quality management across processes. All of our welding procedures and operator qualification follow AWS standards, ensuring consistent weld integrity - especially in structural, safety-critical, and code-compliant builds. It’s one of the reasons we’re an approved fabricator for city of Los Angeles.

At LCNW, we follow rigorous internal QA practices and are always seeking ways to improve. We take pride in catching non-conformances before they ever leave the building.
